A New Success : Percutaneous Closure of Ventricular Septal Defect PDF Print E-mail

The KCMH cardiac center proudly launched a new device for percutaneous closure of ventricular septal defect (VSD). The device was created by Pornthep Lertsapcharoen, MD, and made of Nitinol. Of 16 patients with VSDs, 12 patients  underwent successful closure without a need for open heart surgery.
